The arts and entertainment sector have seen the full brunt of the various lock down measures and while many are hurting creative practitioners are skilled at improvising, often making do with limited resources and working within constraints. Necessity is the mother of invention and artists, performers, writers, creative practitioners and cultural institutions are rethinking their creative practice and looking at different ways to engage with their audiences. As Bendigo Art Gallery Director Jessica Bridgfoot says “closure has given the gallery’s small team a chance to rethink online engagement. We don’t always have the time to brainstorm and activate in this way…this is an opportunity for us to attract a whole new audience online while entertaining our existing audience”.   How can you respond creatively in this time?
